Red Deer Family Photography

I had this sweet little bunch into the studio just a few weeks ago. How cute are those little boys??? I know they will love seeing these images up on their walls, and you know what they say, a child who regularly sees pictures of himself feels more loved, valued and accepted. And well, it’s about time this family updated their family portraits!! When baby isn’t a baby anymore, it’s time folks!!! đŸ™‚
Ideally I’d love to see my clients in once a year when the kids are small. . . so many changes when they’re little, it’s great to get everyone in front of the camera to see those changes!! Think about that for awhile.. . . what would you have to give up in your daily life to be able to make a yearly portrait possible? And I’m not talking about 20 pictures. Who needs 20 pictures? I’m talking about ONE PERFECT SHOT. When you think about all of the things you habitually purchase during the day/week/month that you could actually live without, you’d be surprised what that adds up to. Think of your kids and how much these pictures will mean to them when they really need them most. xoxo

the gift of photography ~ red deer family photography

The gift of photography is a wonderful thing to receive on any day, but when it means I get to meet family members for the first time, it really is a gift for me too. I had been seeing pictures of these beautiful babies on gramma’s facebook (gramma is my cousin!!). So I knew I was in for a treat.
We spent the first part of the session outside so big sister could rid herself of some car seat energy đŸ™‚ What a great opportunity to capture her doing what a two year old does. Love that age. Little sister was happy and content being in mama’s arms, her eyes big, as she watched her sister run around and play. If you were to zoom in on the photo of her on her mommy’s shoulder, you would see me there đŸ™‚ The catchlights from the open blue sky are so crisp and clear.
We then went back to my studio, and put the “fancy dresses” on đŸ™‚ I got to use my newly purchased (just that morning in fact) 1920’s buggy, which was great. The greens in her dress matched perfectly!
We got some great images of some happy little girls and their beautiful parents, images that will be passed down to the girls and their children and grandchildren, because mommy was smart enough to purchase prints to put up on display. đŸ™‚ Ummm, I would love to see a photo of what she does with those prints someday soon!! đŸ™‚
